Happiness is Biryani !!!

Happiness is Biryani!!!

The experience of the Indian menu is just incomplete without Biryani.

The origin of biryani is uncertain. It is said that biryani is of Persian origin, and later it was brought to India during the Mughal generation. This dish is especially popular throughout India and around the world.

In different regions of India has it's own exclusive and exquisite Biryani recipe. The best thing you can say is that there is no one standard way to cook the dish, other than by following the basic initial standard steps.

Biryani can be contrasted to mixing a curry, later combining it with semi-cooked rice separately. Every region in India has its own style of cooking the dish; this mainly depends on the variation of local ingredients found in the region and the meat available in the local market. It is commonly seen that the famous biryani recipes have been passed down from generation to generation and has its secret formula. In India, we say that you judge a restaurant by how well they prepare their biryani.

While talking about Biryani we cannot forget about the world-famous Hyderabadi biryani, in this non-vegetarian biryani, the meat is usually marinated in traditional spices. It is then layered with basmati rice and cooked in a dough-sealed handi called dum. It is extremely spicy and rich.

Malabar biryani is another popular dish from Kerala in South India. It is cooked with tender chicken wings, steamed rice, turmeric, mild spices, and is beautifully garnished with sautéed dry fruits.

The Bombay biryani is quite popular in the Konkan belt and in coastal Karnataka. It consists of layers of flavored basmati rice, potatoes, chunks of chicken, mutton, lamb, or vegetables, alongside some fried onions, mint leaves, and dried plums.

Kolkata style chicken biryani the distinctive thing about the dish is that it is much lighter on spices. Nutmeg, cardamom, cinnamon, mace, rose water, saffron, screw pine water, and yogurt are the ultimate ingredients for this dish.

The ideal plate of biryani, regardless of where you're from, suggests a flavor like home. Regardless of whether it's a plate of Bombay Biryani or a plate of Hyderabadi biryani, it will help you to remember how your mom made it, how the whole family, companions assembled around the table, how you and your siblings, friends battled for the best pieces.
